I am a certified professional dog handler and trainer. After getting my degree as a Veterinary Nurse and General Animal Care Worker in 1999 I started working at an animal hotel as a kennel hand, but within 6 months I was promoted to trainer. I have been working with problem dogs and their owners ever since.

In 2000/2001 I followed instructor courses 1, 2 and 3 at the Martin Gaus Academy and got licensed to start my own dog training school. Later on I also started to teach other instructors and I trained seeing eye dogs and assistance dogs. In my free time I’m training my own dogs in agility and I compete with 4 of my 8 dogs in this magnificent sport.

I’m also teaching agility to other handlers and their dogs with great pride and pleasure.

My strength lies in my ability to improvise and think creatively on the spot. Because of my hands-on experience with all types of dogs and breeds I have a wide range of approaches. As a result I am able to make any dog feel comfortable and treat each dog the way that suits him or her best. Patience is the key in all my approaches.

My ideal in life is to be able to teach as many people as possible how dogs’ minds work, to create more understanding, and to help apply this knowledge, resulting in more happy dogs and owners.

Over the past ten years I have followed various seminars with different trainers, behaviour specialists and scientists to stay up to date and expand my knowledge of training methods and dog handling.

The most recent seminar I followed was dog psychology with Peter Neville and Robert Falconer.
